Review Of Bridgeport by HomeSnacks User

Bridgeport is a country club compared to New York city! I was afforded the opportunity to buy a home in Lake Forest Bridgeport CT. My children won a lottery and went to Westport Schools because I lived in Bridgeport. Both of my children and I went to Housatonic Community college in But and went to University of Bridgeport. I have many friends who are police officers, teacher, public works employees in Bridgeport.

Lake Forest is a hidden Gem in this City. North end is a very nice area in Bridgeport, all areas of Bridgeport are being revitalized. Bridgeport Hospital, St Vncents Hospital ae wonderful and they are in my City. Seaside a beautiful beach and Park!

This is a city full of culture and arts!We have areas in need of more work than others this is true but we are a far cry from being one the 10 worst places to live in. Where do you live- must be heaven!

Review Of Hartford by HomeSnacks User

Hartford is a miserable crime riddled city without any positive attributes. The restaurants are sub-par. The crime rate is through the roof. It is not uncommon to see prostitutes and pimps. You can’t drive more than a couple blocks before you see a drug deal. The mayor is an idiot and is doing nothing to turn his awful city around. Now, the City of Hartford thinks the State of Connecticut should bail them out.

There is nothing worthwhile in this city. The baseball team is a complete joke. The restaurants are sub-par. The parks are heroine needle filled. The roads are full of potholes. The hospitals frequently treat people with gun shot wounds and stabbings. Avoid Hartford, Connecticut at all costs.

Review Of Stamford by HomeSnacks User

Schools in this area are great, low crime rates as well. Housing can be a bit pricey but the scenery of this city is beautiful.

Brennans, a hidden pub in a dead end street has to be my favorite place to drink as well as to eat. Their food is phenomenal, the greatest thing along with this is that its right next to the beach so you can spend time at the beach then walk to the bar.

There is a lot to do in Middletown. There are fireworks over the river around the 4th of July, plenary of places to eat and shop, and plenary of school option.

The food on Main Street is awesome. There are a ton of choices for food. The toy store is also amazing.

Methodology: How do you determine which city is best for singles in Connecticut anyways?

To give you the places in Connecticut which are best for singles to find one another, we used Saturday Night Science to look at a handful of metrics. Of course, we want to measure the type of people who live in each city and make some assumptions about what single people like.

So we researched the internet for a database that contains all that information.

We threw a lot of criteria at this one to get the best, most complete results possible. Using the 2018-2022 American Community Survey Census data produced for the state of Connecticut, we looked at every single city in the state. We paid particular attention to:

  • Population density
  • % of population that’s male vs. female (closer to a 50-50 ratio is better)
  • % of households with kids
  • Median age
  • Number of unmarried people in each city

We then gave each city a “Singles Score.”

The higher the score, the better the city is for singles to find one another. We also limited our results to cities with over 12,000 people. For Connecticut, that meant a total of 20 cities.

We updated this article for 2024. This is our tenth time ranking the best cities for singles in Connecticut.

Read on to see why New London is the talk of the town while Shelton is probably a bit on the bland side.
