Not sure where you got your sources from, but I've lived in Hesperia for 24 years and love it.
I commute to San Bernardino every day and it's not nearly as bad as most California commutes, in fact the Cajon Pass is one of the smoother commutes to work. It takes me all of about 30 minutes in the morning, 40 on the way home, and there's always a nice drive through Crestline if Google Maps says there's traffic.
Also there is a ton of stuff to do. We're surrounded by mountains, halfway between Vegas and the beach, and remarkably smog free. Plus there's plenty of parking everywhere, tons of shops and really good restaurants. Add to that the price and size of land and I think we should rank top 10.
Lol I live in Hesperia. Victorvalley really is a boring place to live but a quiet suburbs to raise kids and the houses are cheaper than anywhere else. But that also leads to more crime which is why the neighboring cities Victorville and Adelanto have a crime problem. LA dumps their criminals over here because its exactly 60miles away from their homes which is what the judge tells them to stay as far as. And we left LA because of that lol. Were half a million population now which we weren't ten years ago
I live in Hesperia. It s***s. But Victorville is much worse.
