I'm from Terre Haute. There are some nice newer area's with large homes and a new-ish walmart. But I haven't lived there in 16 years. The last time I was there, I drove through Terre Haute in complete shock at how run down and disgusting it was. I had no idea it got that bad. I don't know how it gets like that. It's like driving through Alabama. Alabama has NOT changed one bit. I live in Clearwater Florida now and it's pretty nice here. But there are places you just don't want to be going, just like anywhere else in the world. But dang man Terre Haute was run down, dirty, smelt bad, and just over all what the heck happened to my childhood there- I went to Woodrow Wilson Middle school, and a couple others. Walked home from school with no issues. I probably wouldn't let my kids do that now of days.
look,Terre Haute has always been my home, sure there are probably murderers down duh block, but not when you live in the country side of Terre Haute,it might not look like much, but it's home,I don't care that people feel sorry for me,I shouldn't be sorry I wasn't born in any other place than Terre Haute,I love it here,I love the people here, just think about it,if I was born somewhere- else than this town, I'd never have the greatest, caring friends that I just happened to meet in the 3rd worst city in Indiana!!!!!
how can you guys just go up saying it's one of the WORST CITIES IN INDIANA,it's my home, it's my family's home,it's all of my best friends' HOME,you guys might think it's one of the WORST,but in our hearts,we wouldn't want to be anywhere- else, TERRE HAUTE INDIANA IS OUR HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!
