Crime is high, but normally relegated to specific parts of the city. The schools are terrible. There is a church on every street. Southern hospitality is a joke.
I'm a military brat and wife. My husband is at Barksdale. What to do: hunt, fish, and watch paint dry. For fun people either go to church or drink...or both. Shopping and food is limited. Southern hospitality does not extend to any liberals, interracial couples, LGBT, or any type of "other." If you're conservative, boring, and like Trump then this is your kind of town.
