Crime is not low in Waveland, I just recently moved my family far away from Waveland partly due to the crime.
I'll agree that its a nice city that's trying to come back from a tragedy like Katrina but something definitely needs to be done about the crime.
As far as places in the delta,it said places with 5k + population. I lived in waveland and did a lot of work there and yes a lot of vacant homes not to mention the crime in bayside and shoreline.
