Nick You are right I Live In Albuquerque And I love it and all but it's oohhhhhh dangerous and BORING
I lived in Albuquerque for ten years and absolutely loved it there.
There is a lot of outdoor stuff to do, including hiking, biking, walking, ballooning, etc. Schools are not as good as other areas of the country, but the food and the weather cannot be beat. The cost of living is lower in Albuquerque than in other areas of the country.
The weather is incredible. I miss the Albuquerque skies.
I absolutely love Albuquerque, it has been my home for the past 9 years. Although in the desert south-west. Has excellent weather, wild winter with not too hot summers.
The weather, and the fact that it has excellent opportunities for those who love the mountains and the outdoors.
ABQ is the worst. A deplorable place. People have a chip on their shoulder in Albuquerque because they have to live where they do. It's a city with an identity crisis... people want to pretend that it's a big city, but it's really just a sprawled out shithole, with not real options for entertainment. Downtown is a joke. The university is a joke. The whole place is better when seen from I-40 or I-25 in your rear view mirror. The schools are some of the wors in the country. Nepotism is rampant in city government.
City is ran terribly. City departments are all cousinsdrug problem is more on an epidemic scale than any place I've ever been. Just an all around terrible place.
